Multilingual and Multicultural Programming

Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication hosts multilingual and multicultural events for the Grinnell community. Past events include:

  • International Dessert Night: a cooking demonstration and presentation by foreign language teaching assistants
  • International Cartoon Night: a streaming presentation of four cartoons in Arabic, German, Russian, and Spanish with a discussion of their linguistic and cultural relevance
  • Politics and Sweets: Making Brazilian Brigadeiros — a cooking demonstration and presentation about this traditional Brazilian dessert
  • Global Trivia: a friendly trivia competition revolving around world languages and cultures
  • CLIC Study Break: a study break with multilingual board games
