Grinnell graduates leave campus ready to lead, connect, and make an impact in communities around the world.

This photo essay captures a busy and vibrant March and April at Grinnell, where students came together for moments both big and small. From Dari Barn on Campus and Battle of the Bands to EidFest, ISO Cultural Evening, Scarlet and Give Back Day, and the African Caribbean Student Union Gala, the month was filled with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and be in community!

Downtown Grinnell was filled with warmth and sweetness on Feb. 6 as the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Sweet Stroll.

Grinnell’s annual Jingle Bell Holiday celebration once again lit up downtown on Friday, Nov. 21, drawing crowds of students, families, and community members for an evening filled with connection, tradition, and festive cheer.

Student Estella Newton ’26 recently stepped forward to support local families by organizing a community food drive as part of Iowa Sen. Zach Wahls’ Iowa Giving Week of Action — a statewide effort focused on strengthening food access through grassroots service projects.

Grinnell College is piloting a new student success program called RSVP (Retention Student Success Validation and Progression). At the heart of RSVP is a team of “hosts” who are poised to connect with new students and help them feel comfortable getting involved in campus life.

As summer draws to a close, anticipation builds for the arrival of the Class of 2029 and the start of another year of discovery and connection. Grinnell College opens its doors to the Class of 2029 — 421 students whose stories, talents, and ambitions will shape our community in the years ahead.
