    Grinnell is a pass-through town on day 5 of RAGBRAI's 50th year celebratory ride. Grinnell College is excited to extend a warm welcome to RAGBRAI riders, providing a nice spot for shade and relaxation as they journey through our town. Over 30,000 riders will pass through Grinnell on Thursday, July 27 as the last stop before the end of Thursday's ride. Grinnell's beautiful Central Park will be the hub of all activities featuring live music, food, beverages and more. This remarkable ride from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River is marking its 50th anniversary this year!

  • South Energy Plant Construction Work in Front of JCC Starting April 13

    Starting April 13th, an area encompassing the west side of Park Street and Hwy. 6 in front of the John Chrystal Center (JCC) will be fenced off as the College and Weitz Construction team embark on the next phase of the South Energy Plant project, which will connect campus and downtown facilities. The fence surrounding the construction site will go up on Thursday, April 13th and Friday, April 14th and will remain in place until the end of June.

There are inaccuracies in this statement that are important to address because the circulation of misinformation has caused fear among members of our community. If anyone is aware of any alleged crimes, we continue to ask that they be reported and that available resources are activated instead of using social media.
