Grinnell College President Anne F. Harris addressed the Alumni Assembly of the 145th Alumni Reunion of Grinnell College.

As of July 1, 2025, Jerry Seaman will be serving as Special Advisor to the President for Strategy. His thoughtful, inclusive, and data-driven approach to addressing emerging issues has been both welcome and valuable during his time as interim dean.
Ruth P. Feingold will join Grinnell College on July 1 as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. She will also hold the rank of professor in the department of English with contributions to Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. Dr. Feingold currently serves as Dean the College and Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Willamette University in Salem, OR.

Willis, an accomplished scholar and educator with an extensive background in African history, diaspora studies, and interdisciplinary research, will lead the College’s newly established department. His appointment marks a significant step in Grinnell’s commitment to a diverse, socially just, and globally informed curriculum.
