Join us in Burling Lounge on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 4:15 p.m. for “Digital Publishing and Translation: Reading ‘La Princesse de Clèves’ in the 21st Century” with David Harrison, Prof. of French. Prof. Harrison will discuss the advantages of digital publishing for classic novels and the challenges he faced in translating a 17th-century French novel into English.

Join us in Burling Lounge on Thurs., Sept. 14 at 4:15 p.m. “Carry Me Home: A Lecture” with Randye Jones. Jones will talk about her research on Negro spirituals and how they have long been connected with the Underground Railroad, and how the folk songs of that era serve as inspiration for concert performances.
