President Anne F. Harris shares with the whole college community our important progress on Strategic Planning work initiated since this time last year.

Willis, an accomplished scholar and educator with an extensive background in African history, diaspora studies, and interdisciplinary research, will lead the College’s newly established department. His appointment marks a significant step in Grinnell’s commitment to a diverse, socially just, and globally informed curriculum.

President Anne F. Harris shares the College's gratitude towards all the that first-generation students bring to the Grinnell College community as the College's observes First-Generation College Celebration Day.

Deborah Dodge will join Grinnell College as the new ombudsperson beginning on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024. Deborah brings a wealth of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and fostering inclusive environments, having served in various roles in higher education, most recently as the university ombudsperson at Central Michigan University.

On Oct. 23, the Staff Council recognized three staff members with the fall 2024 Staff Council Grand Grinnellian Award.

The Trustees of Grinnell College announced today that they have entered a five-year contract extension with President Anne F. Harris. Under this contract, her service to the College will extend through June 30, 2030.

President Anne F. Harris invites you to a very special weekend of activities on September 27 and 28, which will culminate in the dedication of Renfrow Hall, named in honor of beloved alumna, Mrs. Edith Renfrow Smith ’37 and DHL ‘19.
