Alexis Steele

Alexis Steele (she/her) grew up in Grinnell, Iowa. While she loves Grinnell, Alexis decided she needed to leave the nest for college. She attended Furman University in South Carolina for two years and completed her degree at Central College in Pella, Iowa. Alexis earned her Bachelor of Arts in theater, which continues to be a passion of hers, and she is actively involved in the Grinnell Community Theatre. She also loves to lose herself in a good book or sew an amazing Halloween costume. She obtained her Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Francis in May of 2021. 

Other than the College being in her home town and close to her family, Alexis loves the culture that the College brings to the town. It makes Grinnell a small town with the culture of a city. It’s the perfect combination!

Alexis is the Manger of SHAW Operations for Student Health and Wellness. She likes to describe her work as supporting everything that doesn't require a medical license! This includes budgets, marketing, reporting, supervising the operations team, being the main support of the electronic health record system, as well as other duties that pop up.
