Anika Jane Beamer ’22
Science Writing Fellow
Do you have a research story you'd like to see told? A scientific question that's been on your mind? Students doing exciting work, or a unique course-embedded experience?
As the Science Writing Fellow, Anika Jane wants to share the stories of research, faculty, and students in STEM disciplines at Grinnell College. A graduate of Grinnell with a B.A. in biology and Spanish, she works with faculty and students to create written and multimedia content shared on the college website, social media platforms, and beyond.
Anika Jane is passionate about the power of accessible science communications to bridge the gap between scientists and the people they serve. Her favorite science stories occur at the intersection of microbiology, the environment, and society, but she’s also been known to get excited about earthworms, immune systems, hemoglobin, glaciers, bioengineering, and bison.
