Diane Marty '92
Founder and Principal of Faire Consulting LLC, Diane leveraged significant experience and success in development settings serving community development organizations, higher education and research institutions, arts agencies, social service and youth development providers and federated fundraising before launching her own consultancy in 2011.
Faire Consulting offers development strategy and implementation services with special expertise in highly-tailored cultivation and stewardship techniques and accelerant growth campaigns (start-up operations, capital campaigns, portfolio diversification and short-term revenue generation).
Since January 2021 she has served in-house as the Vice President of Philanthropy and Engagement at Rockhurst Hight School in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), an adjunct professor in the Nonprofit Leadership Studies Division at the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University (Kansas City, MO) and served on the founding team of the University’s fundraising concentration and certification program. Internationally she has been a featured speaker at fundraising conferences in South Africa and Mexico, and represented a nonprofit organization’s land interests in a public/private venture to benefit women and children in India.
Diane was excited to be identified, elected, and ultimately to serve on the inaugural Wilson Leadership Council.
Originally from Hinsdale, IL, Diane is a 1992 Grinnell alumna and daughter of Lyle and Barbara (Treat) Brumley, Classes of 1961 and 1963. She received her masters of arts & liberal studies degree from Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH) and her EdD (emphasis on Leadership and Learning in Organizations) from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education. She has been accredited as Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2005. She and her husband, Kirk (’90) currently reside in Leawood, KS, which serves as a “home base” for sons Max and George.
