Bruce Weindruch ’78

Bruce Weindruch, The History Factory’s founder and CEO, revolutionized corporate America’s use of history. 
 
As The History Factory's chief strategist and creative force, Bruce's unique background, blending history and business, has given him the insights to help major corporations, nonprofit organizations and associations use historical resources to benefit their bottom line. Forbes Magazine described Bruce as the man who's "Making History Pay." 
 
Bruce has amassed millions of frequent flyer miles advising some of the most admired global companies and brands including Abbott, Adobe, Boeing, City of Hope, Goldman Sachs, Kimberly-Clark, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Pfizer, The Rockefeller Foundation, Shell Oil, Subaru, Whirlpool and Wrigley.
 
Bruce appears regularly on Bloomberg Radio, Fox Business News, CNN and MSNBC. He is also a contributor to Forbes.com, The Street.com, and the Harvard Business Review.    
 
Bruce received his B.A. in American Civilization from Grinnell College and attended the George Washington University/Smithsonian Affiliation Ph.D. program. Before founding The History Factory in 1979, Bruce was a staff member at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, a Smithsonian Associates faculty member, and a director of the Museum Education Roundtable. 
 
Bruce and his wife served on the Kenyon College Parent’s Advisory Council, and chaired the Kenyon College Parent’s Fund. He is chairman of the Board of Directors of the St. John's Episcopal Preschool, Georgetown, and former trustee of the DC’s historic City Tavern Club. He is past chairman of the Development Council of the Tipitina’s Foundation whose mission is to support Louisiana and New Orleans' irreplaceable music community and preserve the state’s unique musical cultures.
