More Than $1.2 Million Invested in Summer Learning Experiences Gives Grinnell Students Opportunities

This summer, Grinnell College is investing more than $1.2 million to ensure students can pursue meaningful research, internships, and community-engaged learning experiences that prepare them for lives of purpose and impact.

Grinnell’s generous donors and alumni inspire action and further the goals laid out Knowledge Into Action. Philanthropic support motivates action, stimulates creativity, and gives confidence to students, faculty, and staff that the powerful Grinnell community support their endeavors.

Your giving to Grinnell enables curiosity in every student, allowing them to deepen their questions, make connections across academic fields, and pursue emerging interests with creativity and intention. With your gift, you create space for meaningful exploration, opportunity for hands-on experiences and career preparation, and endow the world with the next generation of Grinnellians whose connections to their work and each other bring the world within reach and innovation over every horizon.

You can help by supporting any of the College’s priorities:

Grinnell provides exceptional financial aid, meeting 100% of each student’s demonstrated financial need without loans. These policies open doors for the brightest students and help remove barriers to an exceptional education.

From their first day on campus through graduation, the Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS) guides Grinnellians on an individualized journey to align their passions with their purpose. Other opportunities are created through the Institute for Global Engagement, including the Global Learning Program, courses that include travel experiences, and study abroad. Internships, independent research, international immersion and other experiences outside of the classroom set Grinnell apart.

At Grinnell, the relationships between faculty and students lie at the heart of our transformative liberal arts curriculum. Faculty here are more than educators; they ignite curiosity, inspire innovation, and guide students as they develop the skills and confidence to shape their own paths. Attracting and retaining top-quality scholars and teachers through endowed faculty positions ensures that students continue to benefit from the hallmarks of a Grinnell education: small classes, interdisciplinary learning, passionate faculty, and the pursuit of knowledge for its own sake.

Grinnell seeks to create facilities, spaces, and programs that deepen community, enrich academic excellence, and support the holistic well-being of Grinnell students.

Grinnell’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion seeks to strengthen living, learning, and working communities. Financial support can help ODEI continue the positive trajectory that it has created in accessibility and disability services, community learning and belonging, staff equity and inclusive hiring, and creating opportunities for mentorship, support, and invest in data-driven strategies to enhance

Through Student Health and Wellness, students are empowered to develop habits that support meaningful, healthy, and balanced lives – the College seeks to create a space that matches the caliber of care already provided.

Flexible annual support through the Pioneer Fund gives the College flexibility to address emerging needs, powering opportunities that can’t always be planned and safeguarding what is too important to risk. Giving to the Pioneer Fund keeps Grinnell responsive, student focused, and ready to take on whatever comes next.
