Grinnellians Stay Connected

Learning what it means to think and grow in virtual community.

Welcome to the virtual Grinnell Community! Here you can connect, learn, relax, and find those moments of respite and restoration during these unprecedented times in our world. We miss each other and we miss campus (even those on campus!). This space is designated for your well-being, and we welcome your contributions and ideas. Grinnellians Stay Connected is an initiative to help our community to not only stay connected with each other, but to acknowledge the impact of this time on our identities, to continue to serve and extend the common good, and to create a global virtual community that offers resources and support.

Stay Fit Together

We have put together this program to give everyone a way to create and/or continue a wellness habit and connect with our community during this challenging time.

  • The Grinnell College Fitness Program runs from April 1-30. It includes 24 workouts that are 30 minutes or less. Just do six workouts per week - you choose the order and schedule.

  • On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:15 through the end of the semester, the physical education department will be offering live-streamed workouts.
  • You can watch recorded versions of the live stream workouts on demand at any time that's convenient for you.

Connect Through Art

The Grinnell College Museum of Art exhibit Face Forward is available online through videos and a virtual gallery. The exhibit presents the diversity of portraiture and figurative works we have in our collection, along with new acquisitions. In addition, the museum offers educational resources targeted for all ages, interests, and abilities such as activity guides, projects, and videos created to help you connect more deeply with specific artworks.

Take a Pause

Mindfulness means being in the present moment, purposefully, and without judgment. It is about pausing and checking in with ourselves with an open mind. Grinnellians Take Pause provides 7 mindfulness exercises each week that you can practice wherever you are.
