Intercultural Affairs (ICA) is a dynamic and diverse team of student affairs professionals who are passionate about engaging, empowering, and encouraging students. We believe students should be able to be their whole, authentic selves, while also appreciating and valuing others’ ability to do the same. We attend to a student’s holistic needs by centering identity, appreciating and celebrating culture, and contextualizing individual stories in a diverse and global society. We offer a variety of transformative educational programs and workshops that encourage students to develop their own commitments to heal, relate, learn, educate, and organize as emerging community leaders. We connect students to social, cultural, academic, and leadership opportunities in groups and organizations that focus on identities associated with race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, national origin, and religion, among others. Intercultural Affairs empowers students to be change agents within and beyond the institutions and systems they will encounter throughout their lives.
