Grinnell College professors Marc Chamberland and Jeff Blanchard have been named the 2025 recipients of the Carl B. Allendoerfer Award from the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), recognizing their outstanding exposition in a mathematics article.
President Anne F. Harris recently began her year-long term of service as chair of the Board of Directors for the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM). The Board of Directors collaborates with the ACM president on efforts to strengthen the member institutions and oversees policies, projects, studies, and activities.
Grinnell College is proud to announce that Sheryl Walter ’78 has been elected chair of the Board of Trustees. She succeeds Michael Kahn ’74, who served as chair from 2021–25. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Walter has served on the Board of Trustees since 2017.
