After graduating from Grinnell, I pursued a master's degree in theatre at Florida State University and worked as a graduate teaching assistant. Off to Tallahassee I went for my third act, experiencing a completely different side of the United States than I had before! As a graduate teaching assistant, I taught world theater history and theater to both majors and non-majors.

In the meantime, I side-hustled as a managing producer of Side B Society, leading fundraising and season planning, and producing new work for theater with the executive producer. I also worked virtually as an artistic associate at Make/Shift Theatre Company, facilitating transnational interdisciplinary collaborations for two flagship events.

I now work as a communications and gallery executive at Experimenter in Kolkata, India. I still freelance as a playwright, teaching assistant, and theatre production collaborator.

Working as a senior interviewer to me was so meaningful that I decided to come back to Grinnell and work full time as an admission counselor. I love taking what I’ve learned as a sociology major at Grinnell to advocate for more equitable admission practices and make Grinnell an even more welcoming place.

One of the biggest perks of my job is getting to reconnect with my Grinnell friends around the country — whether in Portland, the Twin Cities, Chicago, Boston, or more — during my recruitment travel. Plus, thanks to my double major in theatre and dance, I know how to balance creative projects alongside all these adult responsibilities (my Halloween costume last year went off!). Though the world of college admission is rapidly changing, I know that Grinnell has equipped me to successfully fight for what I believe in, and I hope to continue building community and growing into a leader in this field for years to come.

After graduating from Grinnell, I became a graduate student in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Gies College of Business! 

Combining my liberal arts education with a business background, I landed two roles after 10 months of studying. I landed an internship at Kohl’s as a retail store manager in the summer, and then as a carrier sales representative at Capstone Logistics, LLC, in the fall.

I’m still in the greater Chicago area, but this time with Guerrero as their content and advertising manager. Guerrero is an executive advancement company that is committed to the advancement of great executives and diversifying business leadership. Guerrero especially specializes in expanding Latino voices, recruiting diverse leadership talent, elevating young professionals, and incorporating further DEI initiatives.

As I prepare to leave Grinnell, I am really going to miss the community here and all the friends I've made. It's been wonderful to be around such smart and engaging people and I've learned a ton from them; Grinnell's close-knit community is truly unique and has always kept things interesting for me.

I will also miss playing baseball for the College: it was amazing getting to play the sport I love every day and being part of a group bigger than myself. After graduation, I am headed to Cordova, Alaska, where I have a position with the Forest Service working on a habitat restoration and conservation project on the Copper River Delta.
