Partner with Community Training, Belonging, and Education

Partnership & Co-Sponsorship Funding

CTEB is committed to supporting educational programming that advances Grinnell College's mission and fosters a campus culture of belonging, inclusion, and meaningful dialogue. Through our Program Committee, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) reviews requests for co-sponsorship funding from members of the Grinnell College community whose events align with the mission and values of the office.

Our goal is to invest in programs that promote learning, encourage thoughtful engagement across identities, and contribute to an inclusive campus experience.

Funding Priorities

The Program Committee gives priority to programs that:

  • Advance diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, or identity-related learning.
  • Demonstrate meaningful impact on the Grinnell College community.
  • Foster education, dialogue, engagement, or community building.
  • Align with the mission and strategic priorities of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Requesting a Sponsorship

Faculty, staff, students, departments, and recognized campus organizations are encouraged to submit requests for co-sponsorship funding.

To allow sufficient time for review and funding decisions, requests must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the event date.

Each request is reviewed by the ODEI Program Committee, which considers the event's goals, anticipated impact, alignment with ODEI's mission, and available funding.

Co-sponsorship funding supports eligible programming but does not include event planning, staffing, or logistical support.

If you are interested in partnering with ODEI to design or implement a program, facilitate educational content, or collaborate on an event, we encourage you to contact our office early in the planning process. We welcome opportunities to partner with departments and organizations to create engaging educational experiences for the Grinnell community.

Programs receiving ODEI support must uphold Grinnell College's commitment to equity, inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunity.

ODEI does not fund programs that violate Grinnell College policies or applicable federal and state laws, including the College's Non-Discrimination Policy and relevant civil rights and accessibility statutes. Events supported through ODEI funding must remain open and accessible to participants and may not exclude individuals from participation or benefits based on protected identity characteristics.

Complete the Co-Sponsorship Funding Request form to begin the review process. We encourage applicants to submit requests as early as possible and to provide clear information about the goals, audience, and anticipated impact of their event.
