Requesting an Exception to Policy
Students sometimes seek to take more than 18 credits in a semester or fewer than 12, or they want to either graduate early or request additional semesters of study at Grinnell. Follow the links below to request these exceptions.
- Request to enroll for more than 18 credits

- Incomplete application and guidance is updated and posted in final 4 weeks of each semester.

- Early Graduation Notification Form
- The Committee on Academic Standing (CAS) petition is used to request exceptions, such as late add/drop, late switch to or from S/D/F grading, and others listed on the form.
