Your Academic Advising Team

At Grinnell, faculty serve as academic advisers for students. Grinnellians engage this consultative relationship and make use of academic advising-related resources to actively develop an academic plan.

Faculty Adviser

Academic advising begins at Tutorial or once a transfer student arrives. Students typically switch advisers upon choosing and declaring a major. Students' advisers are listed in their Colleague self-service portal. To find the name of your academic adviser, log into Colleague and go to Academics > Student Planning > Plan & Schedule and open the tab Advising. You’ll see your academic adviser(s) listed under My Advisors.

Additional Advising Sources

Students regularly use many types of advising to guide their academic journey at Grinnell.

International Students

International Students benefit from tailored forms of academic support and advising when needed. You can book an OISA appointment online (login required).

Students with Disabilities

Staff in the Office of Accessibility & Disability Resources advise students about the College's disability-related policies, procedures, and resources. Visit the ADR portal to schedule an accessibility appointment (login required).
