Studying the mathematical sciences develops your skills in logical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and data analysis — skills germane to many disciplines. Our students frequently participate in national competitions, student seminars, summer research, and internships. Our faculty members have strong research careers and actively engage students in their research. Majors pursue careers in pure or applied mathematics, statistics, operations research, actuarial science, finance, law and more. More than 40% of our recent majors attended graduate school.

Rachel Bass ’19 and Timothy Burnette ’19 were selected for their academic achievements. The award was designed to foster and encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering.

Workshop focus on data-based decision making and visualization techniques in courses from all disciplines.
