Seven alumni speakers shed light on topics and ideas that don’t always take center stage during Grinnell College's 2018 TEDx, “Turn on the Light.”

This edition of Poems, chiefly in the Scottish dialect by Robert Burns (1759–1796) was published in 1787 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Donated to the Grinnell College Special Collections and Archives by George Pinne.

On March 7, 2019, Grinnell College was made aware of suspicious activity in our admission database. We immediately closed access to our database, notified the FBI, and launched an investigation. We determined that some admission data may have been accessed by an unknown party. We have no evidence at this time that this incident has included financial information provided by students or parents on financial aid applications, application essays, letters of recommendations, or transcripts. The investigation is ongoing, and we will provide follow-up notification as appropriate.

Applying philosophical thinking across disciplines

As a Spanish and religious studies double major, Hallela Hinton-Williams ’21 has enjoyed exploring themes of identity and religion through an American studies lens. She says that doing this in Grinnell’s rural Iowa setting has been particularly eye-opening.
