48 students elected to Phi Beta Kappa in honor of their outstanding academic achievements

Grinnell College is proud to announce that 15 faculty members have received promotions this spring, reflecting the excellence and dedication of Grinnell’s faculty, and their commitment to teaching.

In her new academic article in Journal of Student Financial Aid, senior associate director of financial aid and Grinnell alum Stephanie M. Haines ’14 reviews the academic literature and concludes that, while specific techniques and strategies have yielded positive results, additional policy changes need to occur to make the financial aid system easier and fairer to use.

Monica Chavez-Silva has been appointed to the board of Youth Advocate Programs.

Grinnell College Catering continued a long-standing partnership with Grinnell High School by hosting its annual pre-prom dinner, a tradition dating back to 2011. Shaped by student input through a dedicated prom committee, the event features favorite menu items—like the crowd-pleasing “Fudge Overload” dessert—while offering a high-quality, local dining experience. The evening reflects a shared commitment to creating a safe, memorable celebration for students close to home.
