Higher education leaders from across the Midwest gathered at Grinnell College June 23–25 as the College hosted the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Diversity Officers Consortial Group Meeting. Chaired by Marc Reed, vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion and chief diversity and inclusion officer at Grinnell College, the annual gathering brought together diversity leaders to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore strategies for advancing inclusive excellence across ACM institutions.
Grinnell College Vice President for Community Engagement and Strategic Planning Monica Chavez-Silva has been selected to receive a 2026 Governor’s Volunteer Award in recognition of her outstanding commitment to volunteer service in Iowa.
