The National Weather Service is predicting that wind gusts may exceed 60 miles an hour in our area beginning in the late afternoon Wednesday through the overnight hours.
Campus will be closing to the public at 3 p.m. and students are to shelter in their residence halls starting at 4 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 15 due to the potential of dangerous winds. Michael Kahn ’74 was elected by his fellow trustees to serve as the new board chair during the Grinnell College Board of Trustees annual meeting held May 6-8. Michael succeeds outgoing board chair David Maxwell ’66.
The College will commemorate Juneteenth on Friday, June 18. Going forward, Juneteenth will be a permanent part of the institutional calendar and recognized as a holiday.
