Ruth Feingold brought her love for small, intimate, personalized educational settings to Grinnell College in her role as the new vice president of academic affairs and dean of the College. Education, she says, is our best hope for making the world a better place.

Beginning in fall 2026, newly admitted students who meet the requirements will receive the Iowa Dean’s Scholarship, which provides a renewable $50,000 annual merit-based award for all admitted residents and high school graduates from Iowa who have attained a 4.0+ weighted GPA in core academic classes or have succeeded in the most demanding curriculum offered by their schools. 

Ferrari now serves on a committee to support STEM research at institutions like Grinnell.

The College has continued to monitor road conditions, flight cancellations, and other travel disruptions overnight and through the early morning hours. Classes will be cancelled on Monday, Dec. 1 to provide all those traveling back to campus additional time to return safely from Thanksgiving break.
