Biological Chemistry Department

Biological Chemistry is an interdisciplinary combination of biology and chemistry. Core courses of the major emphasize the interrelationships of topics, are inquiry driven, and ponder the structure, function, and regulation of biomolecules that mediate chemical processes in the cell. You are encouraged to take part in off-campus study and independent research, which can help prepare you for advanced study or careers in research, education, environmental science, medicine, health sciences, or other fields.
