Devising the ASTEP

ASTEP (Artists Striving To End Poverty) connects performing and visual artists with underserved youth in the U.S. and around the world to awaken their imaginations, foster critical thinking, and help them break the cycle of poverty. Workshop participants create pieces around a common theme, drawing from their own personal experiences with the help of a few inspiring prompts and some useful techniques for devising.

Aaron Rossini is an actor, director, producer and teacher in New York. He is a founder and an artistic director at Fault Line Theatre and a teaching artist with Artists Striving to End Poverty. Fault Line Theatre: The Oregon Trail, The Wedge Horse, At the Table, Breathing Time, The Faire, Doctor Faustus, Frogs, From the Same Cloth, From White Plains, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Rossini received his bachelor's of fine arts in acting from Miami University of Ohio and completed his master's of fine arts at the Brown University/Trinity Rep Graduate Program.
