When Tristan Davis ’25 first visited Grinnell College, it was the small classes and close faculty relationships that drew him in. But what he found in his four years as a student extended well beyond the classroom: a deep connection to the community, an opportunity to engage in meaningful local work, and, ultimately, the inspiration to pursue a graduate degree abroad in the growing field of environmental humanities.

Hannah Alumni House Nears Grand Opening

The transformation of Hannah Alumni House is nearing completion. The 107-year-old house, located at 1527 Broad St., will welcome alumni back to the College and provide a warm, comfortable venue for events, meetings, and lodging.

Three Sets of Unforgettable Summers in the Four Corners

This summer, Grinnell students explored the Four Corners region through three programs: a Grand Canyon outdoor recreation trip, a Colorado social justice institute and internship, and a Mentored Advanced Project (MAP) traveling to a Wyoming archaeological excavation.

Celebrating Grinnell’s First Japanese Majors

On May 19, 2025, Grinnell College graduated its first cohort of Japanese majors. This group of students started learning Japanese in fall 2021, Grinnell’s first semester back to in-person learning after a year and a half of online learning.
