Auditions for the Grinnell Singers will take place Aug. 26–28.

The Grinnell Jazz Ensemble, joined by Toronto-based tenor saxophonist Alex Dean, will present a concert featuring music composed, arranged, and performed by musicians from Canada on Friday, Dec. 6.

Author and composer David Rothenberg — who makes music with whales, birds, and bugs — will give a concert, join a panel discussion, and lead an excursion to explore sounds of nature.

Isabelle Demers, who is rapidly becoming recognized as one of North America's most virtuosic organists, will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in Herrick Chapel to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the restoration of the chapel’s historic organ.

The Grinnell Singers, the College's premier choir, will perform in five concerts during a spring concert tour of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa from March 16-21.

The Young, Gifted, and Black Gospel Choir will travel to Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Ohio during the choir’s annual spring concert tour, performing two free concerts open to the public – one on Sunday, March 17, in Forestville, Maryland, and the second on Monday, March 18, in Washington, D.C.

The Grinnell Singers and Lyra Baroque Orchestra will present a joint concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, in Sebring-Lewis Hall in the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts.

Two-time Grammy®-nominated harpsichordist Jory Vinikour, mezzo-soprano Suzanne Lommler, and cellist Craig Trompeter will present a recital of baroque music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in Sebring-Lewis Hall.

The Grinnell Oratorio Society and the Grinnell Singers will present the Iowa premiere of the complete Considering Matthew Shepard oratorio by Craig Hella Johnson at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, in Sebring-Lewis Hall in the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts.
