Congratulations, Grinnellian

Welcome to the class of 2028.

Our 1,700 students come from all 50 states and more than 70 citizenships. One in every four students is a domestic student of color, one in five is international, and more than 60 languages are spoken on campus. We haven’t met you all yet, but we have every confidence that you will enrich — and be enriched by — our intentional and inclusive community of fearless learners, thoughtful leaders, kind human beings, and responsible citizens of the world.

What Is a Grinnellian?

It means curating your own curriculum and getting to work on your intellectual and professional goals — all with guidance and support from your advisers and mentors. And it means knowing your way around a complex world, and how to make it better for everyone. Are you ready to be a Grinnellian?

The First-Year Tutorial

The First-Year Tutorial is your academic and social introduction to Grinnell. It’s part of the required First-Year Experience for all students, but calling Tutorial “required” doesn’t quite do it justice.
